Kenoa(Barra de São Miguel) in Brazil

It was uncertain proposition for engineer Pedro Marques to stop his career to open eco-retreat on a sleepy beach along Brazil’s Alagoan coast, north of Bahia. But the gamble has paid off in spades.
The hotel wows with eucalyptus columns and natural wood and brick interiors, all of which reinforce the indoor-outdoor aesthetic that sets the recoil apart.
The coconut groves, beaches, colorful cliffs, ocean pools and mangroves of Barra de São Miguel positioned less than 22 miles south of Maceió are the backdrop for Keona Resort in eco-luxury travel in Brazil. Officially Opened Last December 2009, the resort aims at providing guests with an intimate, eco-chic travel experience. Kenoa has only 23 guest rooms, several of them with their own small swimming pools. Solar energy for all the water heating, the reforestation of native vegetation, and the use of natural materials in the design are some of the eco-friendly practices associated with the updated comforts made available to guests.
Serenity and privacy, ensured by the design and discreet service team, are high priorities at Kenoa Resort, making it a great choice for honeymoons and romantic travel on Brazilian Northeast beaches.
